Even over the internet and in two different continents, Hannah was one of my closest friends through late high school and all through college. We chatted constantly online and she introduced me to so many of her hobbies that were definitive for me—from music, to the Silmarillion, to Anne Rice. It’s amazing how much of what I own and enjoy today, or how many fond memories I have, are things that she introduced me to. She was so supportive and firm, but ceaselessly kind when I really needed a friend as I was coming out and becoming the person I am today. I couldn’t have done it without her and I miss her so much.
